aLIEN cOWBOYS

The aLIEN cOWBOYS have been playing together for over ten years and, during those years, have released five full-length Instrumental Rock CD's. The Alien Cowboys write unique original songs crafted from many different genres: rock instrumentals to pop vocals. They have been compared to early Beatles, Huey Lewis, Bruce Hornsby, Dixie Dreggs, Joe Satriani to name a few. Now, DIG Music presents a new release of original vocal tunes ‘WORDS’.

The aLIEN cOWBOYS have traveled to Berlin to play POPKOMM and to Frankfurt to play MIPA. The band has played all over the Bay Area opening for ZZ Top at Konocti Habor and Dave Meneketti (Y&T) at San Jose Music in the Park. They've opened for Tommy Castro and Ronnie Montrose at major Bay Area venues. Multiple Grammy winner Bill Drescher has produced the last four projects and given the band a unique, identifiable sound. Once you hear it, you'll always remember it.

Shredding guitars aside, the Alien Cowboys all of a sudden have something to say! Their latest CD release is finally here. Grammy nominated producer Bill Drescher is on board again to produce nine new original vocal songs and one killer instrumental. Lead track "Build A Bridge for Tomorrow" couldn't come at better time with the country divided over so any issues. Ralph Perucci's lead vocal on 'Joanne' is outstanding as is all his guitar solos. Bass player Hugh Mason rocks out with 'Still Braekin Hearts' and 'RollerBlade Over Beethoven'. Rhythm guitarist Bruce Stevenson's ballad 'Talkin To You' is a knock out track. 'If you love guitar instrumental rock you will absolutely love this cd. The Alien Cowboys blend loud, hard driven guitar licks with taste and lyricism. Their melodies are wonderful. Not a bad cut on this cd. Especially noteworthy are the Hendrixian "Liquid Haze" and The Beatles medley entitled "Fab Formula." This band is one of the best and are a real bonus for instrumental rock. Bravo!'
The Alien Cowboys third Bill Drescher-produced CD, Zero Gravity, contains 12 new original instrumental compositions along with a four-song Beatle medley. Drescher is known for his work with Rick Springfield, Richard Marx, Ringo, Nick Gilder, The Tubes and more.. Paul Reed Smith shares lead guitar duties on Ralph's song, "Jenna's Eyes". Other guest guitarists appearing on the Zero Gravity CD include Austrailian guitarist and Santana protege, Orianthi, trading licks with Ralph on the title track, and Favored Nations' screamer, Johnny Hiland lends some serious heat to the track, "Lead Foot Rumble".
